it reads like Adam Curtis, although a bit more repetative - https://www.bbc.co.uk/webarchive/https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bbc.co.uk...

IKEA has a trademark on STYR?

Did you look at the screenshots?

IKEA has a trade dress and the game matches their color scheme and font exactly. The building is clearly an IKEA with the exact same branding, just different four letter name.

That would apply to like a competitor, right? Another store that copies their motif to fool customers.

Has a court enforced trade dress with a mock version of a store within a game?

Would a reasonable person, seeing completely different letters actually think IKEA is sponsoring the game?

I would give IKEA almost a 0% chance of winning that case if both sides had equally sized pocketbooks. (see E.S.S. Entertainment v. Rock Star Videos (2008))

still prefer the simplicity of a reverse river, with a focus on votes and comments https://hckrnews.com/

its incredibly easy to immediately tell when something was posted, and how popular it was. there s no automagic rearranging or movement.

similar to https://techmeme.com/river

Open up the settings bar at the top and set the story layout to "hckr". That layout is directly inspired by hckrnews.com.

Nice. The word "show" threw me off, given it is on the far right and the cog is on the far left. Menu, settings, config etc would make more sense.

Great feedback. After all this time I just realized a lot of people may not even know that menu exists. It's been like that for so long I'm literally blind to it.

tap to pay is handy, i would wear something just for that if it lasted all week on a charge.

having a fitness / sleep tracker that i cant wear while i sleep cuz it needs to charge defeats the purpose. doesnt quite fill during a shower.

apple also made it prohibitively cumbersome / confusing to own two devices that boot up to identical instances. why cant i have two pieces of hardware, and whichever one i pick up resumes the session. i dont want them to have two configurations, i want them to mirror each other, if a setting changes on one, it changes on the other.

(just the first that comes to my mind, no battery usage)

Sadly not supported in the USA.

there might be others. this is the first that came to my mind

Garmin Pay? My Vivoactive lasts about 7-8 days with sleep tracking and phone notifications. 20 days if you disable phone connectivity.

>They're also moving toward more in-person writing. Instead of long essays, shorter writing segments as part of the test

Why did this ever go away? That was a completely regular part of college a decade plus ago.

>Makes me wonder how much the reviewers actually read the text.

How many of the college students voting have years of ai use under their belt, where ai voice itself has shaped and influenced their stylistic choices of language preference?

Still says

Costco isnt losing $10. They can sell gas at cost to run a gas station if they want to. They break even and get people there instead of a normal gas station.

When you do introduce some video, which is easy to slip into around 18 months, there is tons of good stuff.

Stillwater, Shape Island, Slumberkins, Interrupting Chicken, Not a Box, Duck and Goose, Frog and Toad, Get Rolling with Otis and Snoopy are all on Apple TV.

Tumble Leaf, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Creative Galaxy, Stinky and Dirty, Fireman Sam Classic are on Prime.

PBS still exists for now.

Caitie's Classroom / Super Simple is on Youtube, Prime, and Spotify.

Thanks for taking the time to leave this comment. Bookmarked your message for… much later.

Stillwater you can probably start at birth, if you need something to put you to sleep, which you will. Kiddo can listen without watching.

Apple TV is an available option though. Saying "screen time" vs "low effort stimulating content" muddies the conversation around it being the screen itself and not the contents of the media.
