Supreme court is the ultimate layer of protection and these criminals know it.

You are forgetting the trump card of Supreme Court. They will block any change or effort by Democrats no matter how many seats dems win.

Mitch McConnell holding the seat then railroading in a judge is bad faith cheating and we can't be constrained by procedure and let bad faith actors get away with cheating.

Revoke the appointments and change the rules. SCOTUS isn't some unquestionable papal position with divine right.

The wild corruption of accepting gifts from groups arguing on the court and then using Galaxy brain weasel language to claim it doesn't count. No. Every person in prison has a reason why the law shouldn't have applied to them.

Are we a nation of rules or aren't we?

You follow the rules and maintain integrity of your oath or you're kicked to the curb.

And calling this a both sides political thing is the most tired dodge I've seen. I'm tired of the bullshit excuses why someone with a Trump has can rob bank

Impeachment doesn't accomplish much anyway. Conviction in the senate requires 75% votes and that is not happening even if this admin starts concentration camps for opposition.

One way to think about it is that visible corruption is a constant fraction of invisible corruption in the system. Like a fixed fraction of an iceberg that is visible. One can estimate total corruption in the system by what is visible/flagrant. Based on this, the order of magnitude of corruption being done by this admin is orders of magnitude more than prior ones.

Given that about a third of the voters are fully in support of this, and likely about similar numbers are oblivious, I expect that nothing will be done about it once this admin goes out of power.

Maybe a few people will be made scapegoats to pacify the third that want justice (likely low level/weak ones), but the top level of perpetrators will be untouched and keep most of the loot.

You forgot the /s?

Not at all. This suit is a weaponization of the DOJ against Trump's enemies and victims. Trump was convicted of the rape of Carroll no matter what the headlines soften that up to read otherwise.

I'm hoping she does try for compensation just to expose that fund as another political weapon. Optimistically, this fund won't exist much longer anyway.

I believe these tools change the value of different skill sets in a very profound ways. Being good with rules of a programming language and syntax is no longer as valuable as it used to be.

Understanding the problem space is becoming more valuable. Strength in architecture of a solution is another skill that is becoming very valuable.

We are close to getting to a point where someone with overall general (and perhaps not very detailed) understanding of arch and design and a good understanding of the problem space and having a good taste in usability will be able to create awesome solutinos.

I can't wait to see these solutions being created by one or two person teams.

Can ICE agents be prosecuted three years later if the party in Federal power changes?

This feels like from the Onion but it is real. So much for small government from these guys.

As near as I can tell, nobody is actually in favor of small government nor have they ever been. People just disagree about where the government should be big.

Small gov for me I guess.

Those are properly recorded as to who paid, correct?
