You likely know this but in case not: Dungeon Keeper series.

It looks like we only have access to this now? If yes, this would be development and I’d remove the “2017” from the title.

Same here.

In particular regarding free as in freedom, so about access and control. Just like I never enjoyed working with proprietary coding platforms, OS, or IDEs, I’m not particularly excited about proprietary models.

Check out DeepSeek v4.1 Flash, just released, and I am enjoying it more than Claude. No one can run it locally.. Yet.. But give it a few years and I wouldn't be surprised if models of that capability were standard for programming laptops.

We don't know the training set so it's still not very transparent - and means giving away some control. Then again, it does look better than closed weights

You might consider subtracting half a point for a matching setting - both IKEA and Skyrim are noticeably Nordic.

Hm. That's a situational rule. In this case it makes it funnier. A person could write a whole encyclopedia of lore tracing Kallax back to its mythical roots.

My honest take is that it was intentional. But yes, Poe’s Law will get referenced a lot in the next months/years I guess.

I think it was obviously intentional because they haven't accepted the solution yet.

The purpose is to announce that they are aware of the claims of a solution, not to announce that a solution has been accepted. They're waiting on the required two year timeline before announcing whether or not the solution is accepted. Their writing reflects that they are explicitly NOT accepting a solution until then.

Based on recent history, we’re likely going to ignore this threat, continue doing this and perhaps call it vibe mathing.

The answer is 42.

They got it wrong. It is definitely a prime number. We’re still searching for which one it is. Some say that once it is identified, everything disappears because the illusion of existence will vanish.

Off topic, I read this as "Shopify acquires Thailand". Many strange things have happened in recent years but at least that still remains absurd.

I read “Spotify acquires Tailwind” and was slightly terrified for a split second

Checkmatte?

But seriously if I had to recommend something, not escalating seems best for everyone involved.

Aftermatt

New-mattic (pneumatic)?

Intimatte - non sequitur.

Why sent to the bin? The devices still work. I recently used my series 3 for a couple of weeks and it worked surprisingly well.

Application developers generally don’t support outdated or unsupported OS versions. It’s only a matter of time before updates stop being released or apps start to break.

I'm surprised people like Face ID so much, it very often doesn't work for me. I frequently want to unlock a phone when I'm not looking at it or my face is not visible. Having Touch ID is a feature for me.
